I haven't been so chatty on facebook lately but I guess is because I am trying to avoid questions like: Have you had your baby yet? Well I haven't had the baby yet, but I got pretty good news about what's going on with me down there :-P Today I went to visit my midwife and I am 2 cm. dilated and cervix is anterior! woohoo! I still need the little help of the Evening Primrose Oil, chiro adjustments, acupressure and pelvic tilts which I been doing religiously. Well today I am starting pelvic rocks exercises which is the only thing I haven't done. Last night I got some pretty painful contractions but they were bearable! I have my birthpool set up, birthing supplies and I am just waiting this baby to come out. In the meantime I am enjoying every single day of my life. On Sunday, we celebrated Sabrina's Christening and Serena's 6th Birthday with a day at the pool and some good friends. It was a good thing to keep myself busy and moving, but oh so glad it's all over!

39 weeks and still preggo...

I have all my birthing supplies ready to go and I am very excited about that. My birthing pool is ready to be inflated right in my dining room (no, I am not putting it on the dinning table!). My Midwife is letting me use their Made in Water Birthing Pool and I am so thrilled of how this pool is made.
I am just hoping the baby will hold until July 28 which is Monday. Sabrina is getting baptized this coming Sunday (July 27) and I am also celebrating Serena's birthday that day right after Sabrina's christening. Fun... NOT! CHAOTIC!!!! I am forgetting to mention that I am attending a party this Friday, lovely! :)

Orgasmic Birth - Natural Birth
"The same hormones that are present during childbirth occur in all other episodes of women’s sexual lives, including lovemaking and orgasm. These hormones, when allowed to flow naturally and without disturbance, help reduce the pain of labor." OrgasmicBirth.com
This is exactly how I want 'my' birth! :)
Don't let anybody tell you, you cannot give birth naturally... It is a myth about having a small pelvis, or not been able to dilate, or because having a c-section previously you cannot give birth naturally... Natural Birth is possible in all ways! I am (as my mother and sister) a woman who doesn't easily dilate but sure needs a little help. I started taking Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) to get some things moving. EPO acts as a prostaglandin, which ripens or softens the cervix. This will help the baby to deeply engage in the pelvis. A lot of women that have gone through cesarean birth before, have been able to give birth vaginally and naturally (with no medical intervation) by taking this oil orally and vaginally. Most women are suggested to take it after their 36-37 weeks of gestation and it is completely safe for the mother AND the baby.
Since I want to give birth naturally at home, I have chosen to have an Orgasmic Birth. I want to be able to enjoy this birth (my last birth, sniff!) the way nature intented, without medical intervention, without the worries that are caused by a cold hospital room and people wearing scrubs! For God sakes - I am NOT SICK, I am just HAVING A BABY!!!!!!!!!! We should all stop thinking of birth as a disease or an emergency... It's just giving BIRTH!

I have also decided to stop thinking about giving birth, let the time go, enjoy my pregnancy (well hellooooo, I will NOT be pregnant forever!!!!) and let nature decide when the baby is ready to be born. I have been induced (twice) in my previous pregnancies and that is not the way we are supposed to do it. We are not the ones who decide when the baby will be born, the baby is the one who decides when he/she is ready to come to the world... As nature intended.

Still waiting and pretty round...
I have been very very bad with this... not so chatty lately I guess! I been on and off the computer, my parents are here visiting from Panama and I am still pregnant :) I LOVE BEING PREGNANT! Except for a stupid rash I got that lasted a little over 2 weeks, and THANK GOODNESS I was able to manage it with a miracle soap called Grandpa's Tar Soap then applying Gold Bond Medicated lotion over it. It was a God sent! I was showering with cold water twice a day with the soap, then I would apply the lotion to avoid dryness and the menthol effect was just refreshing and so much needed! Well, the rash is gone and now I am enjoying myself once again! woohoo! (phewwwwwww). In a couple of days, I'll be 37 weeks pregnant. The baby moves so much, he is extremely rough with mommy but I love every single bit of it ;)Just about 2-3 weeks ago, we went to Orlando, visited Universal and Island of Adventure parks. It wasn't such a great trip but I did enjoy a bit, except the stupid rash (lol). It rained e-v-e-r-y-d-a-y in the afternoons, ugh! But at least we were able to enjoy 5 days of the 2 parks without the rush, crowd and hotness of the summer, the rain helped a lot. The walking also helped me to bring baby down a bit, you can probably see my belly 'facing' down in this picture.
The girls are so happy to be receiving the new baby and they have promised me to help me with everything including changing diapers! lol! I can't hardly wait to see THAT! But everyday, they both kiss my belly and tell me how much they love their baby brother, so sweet.
Here is a funny cartoon I wanted to share, I found it somewhere in the internet some time now but I saved it in my computer because I thought it was so cute and just reminded me of our own family! heehee!

Loving being round...
Pregnancy is the most beautiful stage of a woman, no one can't argue that! Yes, I must agree that sometimes could be somewhat uncomfortable but most of the time, when that little baby inside of you moves around, it feels like nothing else. No one can't take away this from me, Motherhood is the best thing that have ever happened to me.I have a different feel about this pregnancy, though. Probably because I am older, more experienced, maybe because I have 2 girls that are excited of being the big sister, or probably because this may be my last pregnancy... I am enjoying every bit of it, and I feel stronger as a woman, as a mother! Sometimes I just want to stop the time and prolong my pregnancy. Babies are just such a neat way to start people :)
I couldn't resist to tape my belly when the baby was moving, so here you go... A short video of that jumping little bean!
